Dieci anni di rassegna di teatro in inglese per ragazzi a Como

«Quest’anno la rassegna compie dieci anni e questo è per noi un ottimo traguardo – dichiara Miriana Ronchetti dell’associazione promotrice Arte Orizzonti Inclinati – Il teatro è una straordinaria esperienza formativa e la possibilità di viverlo in inglese offre soprattutto ai bambini e ai ragazzi la possibilità di aprire una finestra che allarga gli orizzonti del pensiero e delle esperienze».

Due gli appuntamenti previsti per il mese di dicembre:

Mercoledì 5 dicembre

«Alle 10, Apertura e presentazione della rassegna da parte di quanti l’hanno fatta vivere e frequentata in dieci anni: rappresentanti dell’amministrazione Comunale di Como, attori, registi, docenti, traduttori, giornalisti. Racconti dietro le quinte… storie, equivoci, incomprensioni, passioni, legami. Proiezioni di immagini (locandine, foto spettacoli, primi piani di scena) che ripercorrono dieci anni di lavoro svolto con grande amore verso il mondo dell’infanzia;

Alle 11, Moon Beam, play in English with actors (Scuole elementari), «Is there anyone who has never looked at the moon? In this story it uses one of its beams to communicate a strange request to all of us: it wants to learn to play like the children it sees on the earth. It sends its beloved “ Moon Beam” to “kidnap” a chimney sweep who will help to make its dream come true. But why a chimney sweep? Easy. Chimney sweeps work near the sky, much nearer than other people. Chimney sweeps often speak to the moon. “There’s a house on the moon, among the Moon Beams… a place that has always been there, between heaven and earth: anyone who wants to can see it”. Important : this story is dedicated to all the children of the world whose desire to play is intact despite human stupidity and wickedness, and to all grown-ups who have forgotten that a happy dream can still take us to moon» Miriana Ronchetti;

Alle 14.30, The happy Prince, play in English with actors, «Once upon a time… in a big city… in the middle of a square… there was a statue of a prince…». «Un principe, una rondine e altri personaggi nati dalla fantasia di Oscar Wilde hanno posto questa dolcissima fiaba nella hit parade dei classici per ragazzi. Questo è un racconto per bambini da 0 a 100 anni. Narra la storia della statua di un principe che dalla sua altezza vede tutta la miseria della sua città e di questa si dispera. Ma il buon Dio del cielo che a tutto provvede pone ai suoi piedi il nido di una rondine che del principe si innamora per la sua bontà. Con l’aiuto della rondine, cerca di far avere qualche speranza a tutti coloro che vivono in povertà, mandando ai più poveri, pezzi del suo abito e del suo corpo, fatti di oro e diamanti, sino a rimanere nudo e cieco. Rimane una brutta statua che viene demolita perché non piace più a nessuno. Sorge però istintiva una domanda: perché gli atti di bontà vengono compensati con la morte e la distruzione? Saranno due amiche (che si improvvisano rondine e statua) a raccontarci questa bella storia con tutta la passione di chi crede ancora nel paradiso»;

Alle 16, Tea for two, music Karaoke for all, canzoni e musiche che accompagnano i nostri spettacoli con parole proiettate per essere seguite e cantate dai presenti, Cakes and Cakes… «I regard the theatre as the greatest of all art forms, the most immediate way in which a human being can share with another the sense of what it is to be a human being». «Considero il teatro la più grande di tutte le forme di arte, il modo più immediato in cui un essere umano possa condividere con altri il senso di cosa significa, essere un essere umano» Oscar Wilde;

Giovedì 6 dicembre

Alle 10, Charles Dickens and his Time…, paintings and music projection of paintings by great painters: Delacroix, Doré, Hogarth, Dreyfus, Mucha, Daumier, Turner, Ingres, Constable, Whistler, Cruikshank, Vernet, Millet;

Alle 11, Oliver Twist, play in English with actors (elementari 2°ciclo e medie inferiori), libero adattamento di Miriana Ronchetti dall’omonimo romanzo di Charles Dickens (English theatre), «We have decided to talk a bit about this interesting character in our own way. When Oliver Twist appeared in 1838, his author, Charles Dickens, was only 25 years old. Dickens often strolled among the people of his town, London. He was a great observer of the social conditions of his country. London, full of beautiful palaces, coaches, theatres, elegantly dressed men and women, encompassed much misery and suffering as well. This was Oliver Twist’s London»;

Alle 14.30, Moon Beam, play in English with actors;

Alle 16, entertainements for children and adults: words and music for all the children of the world.
